Creative writing workshop (Workshop)
A series of exercises in creative writing that
develop progressively, the sharing of one's imagination with the other
participants, the opening of a window on one's intimate world, the questioning
of other people's internal world and imagination, in pairs, a dialogue between
to imaginary worlds, the answer to some questions previously asked, the
expression of ideas and emotions around a topic chosen by both leader and
group.
Traveling by train from Brussels to St. Petersburg (Presentation)
I and possibly another consulting philosopher from France, Laurence Bouchet, will give free consultations and organise philosophy dialogues with groups of people on the trains. The travel (through Germany, Tchekia, Poland and Russia) will take three days and two nights. The consultuations and travel shall be documented (photo, audio and video) by a reporter, and we shall present a report of what took place, in terms of interesting philosophical dialogues at the conference. The same will be done on the travel back home. The purpose of traveling by train instead of by plane is of course to make the point and be able to bring into discussion the topic of climate changes and of which modifications to our habits of working and traveling we can contribute as philosophers attending an international conference. Our profession is evolving and transforming with the changes and transformations going on in the world in which we live. Flying philosophers may transition back into road and rail scholars again. What does the future have in store for us?
